Minor soil and age toning, more visible soil on the envelope. Stamp looks great, perfs are uneven and fuzzy. Clear postmark. Paper feels brittle. I believe this letter is from Marie (Runkel) Classon to her husband, George Classon. Postmarked June 26, 1923 with a flag cancel, stamped with George Washington 2 cent carmine, flag cancel. The letter is chatty, talking about clothing, parties, and bridge, who will be coming and who cannot make it, very typical married couple talk. Written with a fountain pen. There is no writing on the back side of the envelope, and the second side of the letter has only a few lines. Letter: 8.5 x 11 inches, 28 cm. Envelope: 5-3/8 x 3-3/8 inches, 14 cm. Free shipping on domestic orders $25 and over!
