Billy Hill was born William Joseph Hill (1899-1940) trained as a classical musician (violin). Joe Morrison and George Olsen were both from Michigan. The Last Round Up was Billy Hill's first big hit, making the 1933 Hit Parade for 9 weeks. Billy Hill also published music under the pseudonym George Funky Brown.
