Tan cloth boards with blue stamped lettering and two color border (front cover) and lettering on spine. Lettering has minor color loss. Gift notation inside front cover (front pastedown), and another owner name with location inside back cover (back pastedown). Cover shows moderate soil, one lightly bumped corner, bump along top edge (front), and visible wear at spine ends. Outer page edges show moderate soil. Solid binding. Pages are unmarked with no added notations, showing some spots in margins of brown (soil and aging) and black soil that is mostly finger soil. Bertha Muzzy Sinclair or Sinclair-Cowan, nee Muzzy (1871-1940), best known by her pseudonym B. M. Bower, was an American author who wrote novels, fictional short stories, and screenplays about the American Old West. Born Bertha Muzzy in Otter Tail County, Minnesota, Bertha lived her early years in Big Sandy, Montana. She wrote 57 Western novels, several of which were turned into films (Wikipedia).
