Antique Large-size sheet music copy of To Be Stranded on a Lonely Isle with You Charles Wesley Andrews. This composition was given copyright in 1914 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and self-published. Printed by Rayner Dalheim & Co., Engravers & Printers, Chicago. 10-3/8 x 13-3/4 inches, 35 cm. There are initials that include an M and a C for the cover art. Charles was probably born in 1877 Iowa and lived at least his adult years in Minnesota, working as a musician, possibly in theater. Two verses with chorus. First verse: Did you ever stop to think about the way you'd like to live and love and bill and coo with a boy you knew was true. Did you ever stop to think about the one you'd like to woo? I surely have, have you? I know just whom I'd want to be my partner through this life, I know just where I'd want to go to get away from strife, I know just where that you and I can lead a happy life, that's an island God made for two. Chorus: On a lonely, lonely beautiful isle, on an island made for two, we could live in a pure and primitive style, and love and bill and coo. We could live in nature's wonderful arms, that's a fate that falls to few. If we should ever sail away I'd hope and pray some stormy day to be stranded on a lonely isle with you.
