With the sincere hope that after the war is over and you are again home with friends and loved ones, you will derive some pleasure looking through this Christmas Menu Booklet, which they hope will recall pleasant memories of your training period at Camp Roberts. Vintage letter, one sheet with no tears, folded 3 times, and one corner crease, age-toned paper. Cute black and red illustration on stationery size paper, titled Tattle Tale Heart, on age toned paper with message written on both sides from Jeg in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Merk (the name is hard to discern). With no date indicated, I am estimating it was written in the 50s or early 60s, since the identifying zipcode is still two digits, which are 11, and the letter is written with a fountain pen. In the letter Jeg talks about memories common to both, reading "nasty" books, starting senior year (Jeg), going to college (Merk). The letter is signed by Jeg and gives an address in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where Jeg lived. One sheet, 8.75 x 5.5 inches.

1923 (June) Letter Used. Very Good. Letter 
Minor soil and age toning, more visible soil on the envelope. Stamp looks great, perfs are uneven and fuzzy. Clear postmark. Paper feels brittle. I believe this letter is from Marie (Runkel) Classon to her husband, George Classon. Postmarked June 26, 1923 with a flag cancel, stamped with George Washington 2 cent carmine, flag cancel. The letter is chatty, talking about clothing, parties, and bridge, who will be coming and who cannot make it, very typical married couple talk. Written with a fountain pen.There is no writing on the back side of the envelope, and the second side of the letter has only a few lines. Letter: 8.5 x 11 inches, 28 cm. Envelope: 5-3/8 x 3-3/8 inches, 14 cm.

He also served as organist and director of music at the Church of the Redeemer. Carl B. Storrs was a dramatic and music critic for the Minneapolis Tribune.
