The book, How Did We Get the Bible? By Tracy Macon Sumner, is of a size to take in a purse or briefcase, and on a trip. The print is good for reading without squinting. I am impressed by how well this book covers the formation of the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, at an easily understood reading level.
You get the facts without needing to look up words in the dictionary to move forward—and that is what you will find, facts and information from a solid Christian perspective, without denominational bias. I recommend this book.
For educators I have created worksheets in PDF format to accompany How Did We Get the Bible? This is a free download, all you need to do is click and print. I cannot stress too strongly the importance of a good knowledge of Scripture and that which is related to Scripture. We cannot discern false teaching if we don’t know what it true.
